Pop Memoirs After The Reborn Life

It's been a while since my birthday's bash in the past couple days, just in time to bringing back the memory stuffs of mine. Yup...just like others, i had good/bad memories but sometimes it's just a fun moments to remember, i can't even forget about all details in my life, especially bad things. Some wise peoples always say, forget-n'-forgive, but heck NO! If that's happen i'll need some brain-washer-genius to washes out all the headjunks. Ripped-off preachers, eat my f-n'-f out!

The most well-kept memory (beside...well-maintained cerebral), is from my beloved photograph collection, you know by film rolls, not something spells di.gi.tal. It's preserved your image better than you can imagine, well there's include the photo-album which keep it safe though. I'm 2 years old on that pic, i'm not gonna be narcissist by saying how cute i am, but more like, how great the whole scenario on that pic, i mean, the welcoming hands, encourage the baby to come over, there's no photo-director in that scene, just nice touch.

The other stuffs right there; one of those is the most sentimental memory of them all, is the hand-operated musical movements device i've got from Singapore trip (again!), yes one of the chinese-factory genius creation that will make the iPod shame on, especially when out-of-battery mode, is the reason why the music can be reach their eternity. Why not? it's a portable wonder, easy to travel around, unbreakable (err...except for corrosion). This awesome device contained memory factor, the music itself, chorus from "Somewhere Out There", the ost. from my childhood (even now) greatest 1986'animation-movie, Steven Spielberg's "An American Tail". It's the most touching movie that made me drop my tears, not like cartoon these days; silly, ridiculous, and full of non-sense-sexual-innuendo-stupidity. Right! To wake up and preserve the memory, here, watch the volunteer's clip;

{Fievel, separated by his family, singing under the
starry night.SOBS.}

Yes...it's a touching story about Jewish-Russian family (portrayed/described/analogue as mice) who immigrated to America, with all the problems, drama, and desperation. Mr. Spielberg really bring the dark/bright sides life of immigrants, it's reality beneath the surfaces, well...Mr. Spielberg is Jewish too, so he knows about it. The song is from a brother-to-sister mouse that separated after a disaster by-the-sea when they're departed to America. I love this more than the artists version, yeah, attach to the story, attach to my heart too.

PS: Not forgetting about the last two; Polly Pocket "Mother Goose" hairclip, and chocolate cupcake lipgloss, well...as a child/girl i love those 'sweet' stuff, i'm really proud of myself to manage them kept in safe until now. They're not just a 'stuff', they're my memoirs, INDEED!

Moon For Watch And Kill The Odyssey

...Oh great, i feel empty but yet comforted...

Courtesy; studio, hypercastle, look

And somehow, i wish they're disappear, so it's only me who exist here, occupied my own universe.

Perhaps, i'm just being sentimental right now, poor my soul.

I remembered when i first saw this gems back then since i try so damn hard finished my last architecture studio drawings. True OASIS if you asked me.

British duo Nathan Parker and Duncan Jones really simplified the power of mega smartass sci-fi movie, and made it cooler, if not darker, angst-ier. As i don't get it about all Star Wars phenomenon, i've found Moon (2009) to be suppaduppacomft to watch, the essences of your own horror, agony, and desperate shown rather beautifully, not some kind philosophical/preaches bullshit, and it gives me real experience through supernatural of human mind. Picturesque through solar-blue-n'-white space, calm my freezes brain, and distressed my emotion. Colorific??? It's not a scene, not pretend to be cultistic scene maker, the whole process of just watching was over my normal mindset, and it's not that damn Kubrick's Space Odyssey (1968/2001), i hate that, sorry for my narrow-minded act of mine, but...please i don't need to be judged by artsy-smarty message just for to be called cult/cool person, YUCKKKSY!

Okay...i'll stop my value-ing right now, so excuse me,
i just want created my lunar/space/posse
of myself.

So, i'm wearing; Rolling Stones thrift shirt, grey legging, "Batik" belt, stripey bag, and some peek-a-hole sneaks.
Destination: TeSaTe, edgy-indonesian restaurant (and it wasn't a club!), Plaza Senayan, Jakarta.

Now...i really want Gerty for myself...!
I Love You.I Love You.I Love You

To Be Choux Or Chewy Your Tongue Decide

I love cream puff / choux, i don't know why, to me it's a sugar craving diva extraordinaire, the queen of all. Calories packed, oh yeah, must be. It's pastry, you know, french-butter-laden pastry, filled with creamy-luscious-milky-goodness, but why not? It's good. I tasted (a hundred, less maybe) type of cream puff, from the ghetto latex-gum-consistency starch laden faux cream, the cheapest one, to the snooty french classy one it's great adventure of a taste buds. From my grandmother legacy to the mass production, they're unique one by one, and not necessary 'advertisement' tasted like doughnut, it has characteristic.

And, just like every food-evolution, cream puff has developed into interesting new form right now, take a look from Chewy Junior. Yes..., it's another Singapore's great invention (also at franchising) of the cream puff evolution. I found this cool idea back from my last trip, and i've must say i'm falling in love at the first bite, i'm serious! And, thank goodness, they're already franchised here, at my country, and had me full respect than the ever-booming coffee hawker stuff (zzz...snore).

Chewy Junior had revolutionized the concept of cream puff / choux, not just a form, but also tastes. The original form of cream puff has a airy, smooth-egg-n'-butter consistency, with the half heavy half light cream on the filling. So tasty when it's fresh, BUT, the downside are when we try to keep it remained, at freezer, ha! It's a big no-no, most of puff will remained for couple of days, after that, it's not lovely anymore. As for Chewy Junior puff, well...the first experience you can feel in your tongue is from the texture itself, it's chewy. I don't mean chewy like bubble gum, but more like macaron minus the hardness. I bet they used more white egg in the dough. The founder, Mr. Kevin Ong has married two nation in his chewy puff recipe (mmm...French and Japan, i guess?), and i think he's done it perfectly. And not just unique, the chewy point has made the puff long lasting in the freezer (even improving the taste), how appropriate isn't it.

For my personal choice, i love the mini-version one, the Chocolate Junior. I took the photo above, when it's untouched, freshly made one, and i'm in a good patience. It's interesting how they packed the mini puff, in a retro-chinese-delivery-box (red/yellow is the sign of LUCKY!), with the straws (as chopstick impersonated) to pick it (in case of unwanted mess). The mini puff, has fitted to one bite (err...my mouth personally), with light chocolate cream filling, and glazed with chocolate ganache, it's addictive snack-cum-dessert. I can eat them all, full box (consists 6/8 mini puffs, forgot!), in just less than 15 mins, and still wanted more, more, AND MORE PLEASE!

Living Up The Materialism Of Our Life

Let's make a scenery combo: (posse + cloths + architecture) X legacy. I'm not gonna type 'equal' here, 'cause i'm still not confident about my 'looks', my bad after all. Speaking about legacy, it's important to said that i really appreciated my tradition. I'm not try to sounds so idealistic here, i don't have sort of prudish traits whatsoever. Idealism can be seems a little bit stupid-looking for me, at least when i saw in other people. If goods has to be lost, so be it, but if they're still exist until now, i'll be defend it. So enough my babbling now, started the posse already!

> Posse: Well...smirked, awkwardly, can't decide yet.

>> Cloths (main stage): The legacy note, the Batik dress that i wore as top/cardi (still, undecided yet). It's not ordinary typical indonesian 'Batik', it's a mixed-breed of "Batik Jumputan" originally from Central Java, the uniqueness of this bred is the tie-dye-pinch-n'-stain type WITH the other type, "Songket Palembang" which appeared on the fabric's textures. Those indigenous heirloom, comes from Palembang, South Sumatra, it's a "Ikat" / the indonesian speciality of woven technique. And the mixing result, gives an excellent idea for just so-called-fashion, yeah...some accomplishment in my opinion.

>> Cloths (the least): Giordano Ladies tube (my Mom's), GUESS? black skinny-fitted (err...not so), ANANAS khaki wedges, octagonal-woody bangle and Singapore Botanic Gardens green-efforts souvenir bag, YAY!

>>> Architecture: The house (unknown) that located near my family reunion's house, somewhere in Jakarta. The detailing; material, element, space, they're creating sort of palette experiences. And the colour speaks for itself, it's not a futuristic-modern-metal-concrete-clad (boring...!), it's more a legacy, something that came around years, and it still immortalized.

POSSE (HUMAN) + CLOTHS (FASHION) + ARCHITECTURE
=
LIVING

AT LAST...DONE MY 'EQUAL' NOW, PHEEW.

Onde Mande...! The Fantastic Of Real Padang Food Part 1

Just because i start to maintained my body-image lately, doesn't mean i lost my addiction to food. Food is my obsession beside art and travel. And when i just too lazy to go to restaurant/cafe/eating spot, or got enough over junk food delivery, i choose the fast (still delivery), the traditional approach, and still pretty tasty, well...it's Padang food. It's not malay/singaporean influences, it's the original thing, the indonesian, West Sumatra ultra delicacies. I'm talking about the succulent "Rendang", finger lickin' "Gulai Kepala Ikan", quire/mild taste of "Gulai Otak", even milder taste "Ayam Pop", and so much more. It's not a dietic food, it's hi-calories packed, but what the heck! At least it wasn't artificial, flavor-enhancer, hormonic junk food, it's nature at the best.

Before i taking further about the ever-wonder of great Padang Food, i started by the basic of them all, the rice, and for the real Padang Food, they take it very...very...seriously. The rice, especially when i got from delivery, not came like the usual speed-pack standard, you know, styrofoam, plastic, carton, and else, not at all. They have very indigenous way, wrapped in fragrance's banana leaf, then with the wrapping paper as final layer. It's genius for just simple gesture. Wrapping a rice in banana leaf, not just making it fragrances, but also keeping the rice's moisture, even when it's stored in fridge. It's a revolutionized solution from every Padang restaurateur. The people behind it, not an Einstein, not came from Harvard/Oxford-iance just nature-based instinctive people. Really cool fact by the way.

PS: After the banana leaf, here comes the final wrapping paper with the "Sederhana" restaurant's logo, then sealed with rubber band, ERGONOMIC!
